(Chamber of Commerce): UK is a strategic economic and trade partner for Kuwait

Kuwait City, 4 Oct (KUNA) – The Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) affirmed today that the United Kingdom is a key strategic partner for Kuwait across various fields, particularly in economic, trade, and investment spheres. In a press statement following a meeting between its General Manager Rabah Al-Rabah and British Ambassador to Kuwait Qadsi Rashid, along with Naz Demir, Head of Business and Trade at the British Embassy, the chamber noted that the discussion covered prospects for enhancing economic cooperation and leveraging the opportunities and potential available to both sides. It added that the meeting highlighted the importance of introducing business leaders in both countries to the economic and investment climate and available opportunities, as well as encouraging joint economic events in Kuwait to strengthen ties between business communities and open new avenues for cooperation. The statement quoted Ambassador Rashid emphasizing the commitment to developing trade and investment relations between the two countries across various sectors, pointing out the significant potential in both Kuwait and the UK that can be utilized to expand economic cooperation. He expressed hope that the private sector in both countries would play a pivotal role in transforming available opportunities and potential into tangible projects that enhance bilateral cooperation and broaden economic ties. Ambassador Rashid also commended the ongoing efforts of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting and strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
