Kuwait City, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- The KUNA Media Capacity Development Center launched on Sunday the training program “Managing News Accounts on Social Media,” with participation from staff members of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, the National Fund for Supporting and Developing Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Financial Oversight Authority. The program, which runs until October 8 and is delivered by Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Deputy Chairman of the Digital Media Council at the British Journalists’ Union, aims to teach participants how to analyze social media audiences, identify key players in the news sector on digital platforms, and conduct competitor analysis on digital channels. The curriculum covers several topics, including planning for account development, crafting news account strategies, selecting the most suitable platforms for news content, and understanding audience preferences for news. Emphasizing both theoretical and practical approaches, the program also addresses the development of visual and editorial identities on social media, planning content production for news accounts, and handling crises and breaking news. Established in December 1995, the KUNA Media Capacity Development Center is among the leading media training institutions, having delivered hundreds of training programs across various media fields. Its mission is to enhance the personal capabilities and potential of media professionals and to elevate the standards of professional media practice. (End) M.D.M./A.M.H.
