Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister: Our Gathering with Malaysia Features Entrenched and Growing Relations Across All Spheres

Kuala Lumpur, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed today that his country shares deepening and robust relations with Malaysia across all fields, with both sides keen on strengthening ties to advance bilateral partnership to higher and broader levels. The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported that this statement was made during a meeting between the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the Crown Prince of Johor, Malaysia, Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, as part of the former’s visit to Malaysia to attend the 2026 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Formula One race, the 22nd edition held in Malaysia.
The agency added that the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasized that cooperation and coordination channels between the two countries are under the patronage and attention of Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Malaysian King Sultan Ibrahim ibni Sultan Iskandar, contributing to realizing the shared aspirations of both nations. It noted that the two sides discussed the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, along with a number of issues of mutual interest.
For his part, the Crown Prince of Johor expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his keen interest and commitment to continuing the development of bilateral relations, enhancing areas of cooperation, and advancing them to broader horizons that serve shared aspirations and bring prosperity and growth to both countries and their fraternal peoples.
The 2026 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Formula One races in Malaysia will be held at the Sepang International Circuit from October 2 to 4, encompassing race events, qualifying sessions, and accompanying programs over three days. (End)
