Egyptian Red Crescent: Dispatch of 3,185 Tons of Comprehensive Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

Cairo, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Red Crescent announced on Sunday the dispatch of more than 3,185 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of the “Zaad al-Azza .. From Egypt to Gaza” initiative, in line with its role as the national mechanism for coordinating and delivering humanitarian assistance to the Strip. In a statement, the Egyptian Red Crescent said that the initiative’s convoy, comprising 289 trucks, departed carrying food baskets, flour, relief supplies, medical equipment, and petroleum products necessary to operate hospitals and vital facilities in Gaza. The statement reaffirmed that the Egyptian Red Crescent has continued its efforts and readiness since the onset of the crisis in Gaza, mobilizing across all logistical centers along the border to facilitate the entry of humanitarian and relief aid, which has exceeded a total of one million tons, with the participation of more than 75,000 volunteers.
