Gaza, Oct 4 (KUNA) – Health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that a Palestinian was killed and ten others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a vehicle in Deir al-Balah, located in the central part of the Strip. A six-year-old girl, Saha Mohammad Nasser, also died from wounds sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces inside a displacement tent in Wadi al-Salqa, south of Deir al-Balah.
Health officials said in a press statement that the girl succumbed to her injuries after being shot by Israeli forces. They added that emergency departments received the body of the deceased man and treated ten others following an Israeli airstrike that targeted a vehicle south of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
Eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the strike caused the vehicle to catch fire and that several displaced persons were injured by shrapnel.
These attacks come as Israeli occupation forces continue their bombing and shooting operations in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the approaching third anniversary of the war that erupted on October 7, 2023.
In a related development, the Israeli army ordered its forces to close border crossings in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip starting Monday for security reasons. (End) w.b. / sh.m.a.
