Palestinian Martyred and Others Injured in Israeli Targeting West of Gaza City

Gaza, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian was killed and several others were injured in an Israeli occupation strike west of Gaza City on Friday. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its ambulance crews transported the remains of a martyr and several injured individuals to Al-Shifa Medical Complex following the strike, which occurred in the western area of Gaza City. For their part, eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that an Israeli occupation drone fired two missiles in an assassination attempt on a young Palestinian man as he was heading to perform Friday prayers, while several displaced persons in nearby schools and tents were also injured. This strike comes amid intensified and low-altitude flights by Israeli occupation reconnaissance aircraft over various governorates in the Gaza Strip.
