Turkey condemns Houthi attacks on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Istanbul, Oct 2 (KUNA) -- The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Houthi group’s attack in Yemen on civilian infrastructure serving the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia. In a statement Thursday evening, the ministry said, “We strongly condemn the Houthi attack on the civilian infrastructure serving the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.” It added, “These provocative attacks, which threaten Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and security and target Islamic holy sites, must stop immediately and unconditionally.” The ministry reaffirmed Turkey’s strong support for Saudi Arabia and emphasized the need to avoid steps that could escalate tensions in the region.
