EU: We Are Discussing the Timing of Diesel Reserve Releases with IEA Members

Brussels, Feb 10 (KUNA) – EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen said on Friday that the bloc is holding talks with all members of the International Energy Agency regarding the timing of diesel reserve releases, not just with the United States. In an interview with Euronews, Jørgensen added that releasing reserves is “one of the options available to us, which we have used before and are likely to use again.” EU member states are scheduled to hold a meeting on Friday to forge a unified response to the sharp rise in diesel prices.
