OIC Condemns Houthi Attack on Electricity Distribution Station in Medina

Riyadh, Jan 10 (KUNA) -- The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its strong condemnation and outrage on Thursday over the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia against the Taybah electricity distribution station in Medina. In a press statement, the OIC Secretariat General said that targeting vital installations and infrastructure in Medina constitutes a serious escalation and a blatant violation of the sanctity of holy sites, as well as all international and humanitarian laws and norms. It emphasized the OIC’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its territory, safeguard its security and stability, defend Islamic holy sites, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
