Al-Nazili stated in a press release that the operations targeted Houthi positions and personnel on the eastern fronts, in Al-Bayda Governorate, and at the Al-Mansoura front in the Wazea district of western Taiz Governorate. The strikes resulted in the killing and wounding of hundreds of militia members and the destruction of military equipment and vehicles.

In a related field development, the government-backed Shabwa Defense Forces announced the foiling of a series of attacks and infiltration attempts by Houthi militias at the Harib front in Ma'rib Governorate, and at the Ain, Bayhan, and Marakha Al-Ulya fronts in Shabwa. The forces forced militia elements to retreat after inflicting significant casualties and material losses on them.

The Shabwa Defense Forces stated in a release that drone units carried out aerial strikes in coordination with military operations, targeting Houthi positions and movements and hitting military objectives. They confirmed the continuation of deployments and defensive operations, as well as the raising of readiness and vigilance levels across various fronts.

In Taiz Governorate, armed forces drones targeted Houthi militia positions at the Al-Kadha front in the western part of the governorate, destroying a 120mm artillery piece and burning an ammunition depot. Meanwhile, warplanes targeted militia positions in the coastal Wazea district on the Red Sea.

The Armed Forces engaged in fierce clashes with Houthi militias at the Al-Kadha and Hamir fronts in the western part of the governorate, and at the Kalaba front northeast of Taiz city. The forces also targeted militia gatherings and positions on Jabal Garab and Tabbat Yassin in the northwest of the governorate, and at the Ashrouh, Al-Salou, and Asayfira fronts north and southeast of Taiz city.

In the same governorate, a 15-year-old boy was killed and a woman was injured on Wednesday due to mortar shelling by Houthi militias that targeted a house in the Sala district, east of Taiz city.

On the military preparedness front, Yemeni Defense Minister Brigadier General Taher Al-Aqili held a military meeting in the temporary capital of Aden to discuss the necessary arrangements for implementing directives issued by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, regarding general mobilization, general alarm, raising readiness levels, and translating these directives into practical steps.

General Al-Aqili emphasized the importance of integrating government and societal efforts, mobilizing national energies and capabilities to support the Armed Forces, restore the state, and end the Iranian-backed Houthi coup.

In a parallel development, Yemeni Deputy Chief of the General Staff Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Basr Salem held a meeting with the heads and members of committees specialized in general mobilization to discuss the mechanism for initiating tasks and defining assigned responsibilities. The meeting reviewed the priorities of general mobilization to gather human and material resources and the necessary measures to implement directives, ensuring the integration of roles and coordination among relevant authorities.

Security-wise, the Yemeni Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of several cells and elements linked to Houthi militias in various governorates. The ministry also monitored suspicious movements, communications, and meetings, as well as smuggling attempts, intelligence gathering, recruitment of elements, and providing facilitations for activities targeting security and stability.

The Ministry stated in a release that specialized agencies detected methods to circumvent security measures, including the exploitation of communication networks and the coercion of some citizens in areas under Houthi control to communicate with relatives and acquaintances in liberated governorates to obtain information or transmit messages serving their plans.

The ministry confirmed that these activities are under surveillance and follow-up, and that specialized agencies are working to uncover them, track those involved, and take legal action against them. It called on citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements or communications through official channels. (End) S N S
