Bahrain Reaffirms Commitment to Continue Supporting Joint GCC Programs, Plans, and Initiatives
Manama, September 30 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa reaffirmed today, Wednesday, the Kingdom’s commitment to continuing its support for various joint programs, plans, and initiatives within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), in order to strengthen the cooperation trajectory and bring prosperity and development to the GCC member states and their peoples.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported that these remarks were made during a meeting between Sheikh Salman bin Hamad and GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi, as well as the heads of delegations participating in the 24th meeting of the Ministers’ Committee on Housing Affairs in GCC countries, hosted by Bahrain.
Sheikh Salman bin Hamad emphasized that the progress of joint Gulf cooperation, grounded in deep-rooted fraternal ties uniting GCC member states, continues to advance toward enhancing coordination, cooperation, and integration across various fields, thereby reflecting the visions and aspirations of the GCC leaders and meeting the ambitions of the peoples of the member states for further progress and prosperity.
He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to realize the GCC leaders’ visions and aspirations for strengthening Gulf cooperation in the housing and real estate sectors, through enhanced coordination, joint action, and the development of solutions to address various challenges, as well as supporting comprehensive development pathways.
He also pointed to the convening of the second edition of the 2026 Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition, held concurrently with Bahrain’s hosting of the 24th meeting of the Ministers’ Committee on Housing Affairs in GCC countries, noting the significance of these events in exchanging experiences and successful practices, and in strengthening partnerships and cooperation among member states in the housing and real estate sectors.
