Tajikistan Finance Minister Emphasizes Importance of Strengthening Economic and Investment Cooperation with Kuwait

Kuwait City, September 30 (KUNA) -- The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Fuzail Zoda, affirmed today the importance of strengthening economic, financial, investment, and tourism cooperation with the State of Kuwait. The Kuwaiti Embassy in Tajikistan said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following the meeting between Minister Zoda and Ambassador Mohammed Al-Amiri at the Ministry of Finance headquarters in the capital Dushanbe that the minister praised the role of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in supporting development projects in his country. For his part, Ambassador Al-Amiri said that the meeting discussed ways to enhance communication and coordination between the finance ministries of the two countries, as well as exploring opportunities to encourage Kuwaiti investments in various sectors. He added that they also emphasized the importance of continuing joint coordination to develop and strengthen economic relations, particularly in the energy, transport, agriculture, and tourism sectors, in a manner that contributes to advancing and realizing the common interests of the two friendly countries. It is worth noting that the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has contributed to providing several development loans to Tajikistan to finance various projects in the roads, electricity, irrigation, and education sectors.
