London, Sept 30 (KUNA) -- The Maritime Operations Authority announced on Wednesday that an oil tanker was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, sustaining some damage. In a statement, the authority confirmed it had received an official report that the tanker, whose identity was not disclosed, was hit by a projectile of unknown origin, causing damage to one of its sides. It added that official authorities are currently investigating to determine the extent of the damage and other details, while calling on all ships to exercise vigilance and caution and to report any suspicious maritime movements or activities.
