Kuwait City, September 30 (KUNA) — The Ministry of Education announced that it will continue the measures to reorganize the workforce in schools starting next Sunday, in implementation of the directives of Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaee regarding achieving a balanced distribution of personnel according to the actual needs of schools. This aims to channel energies and competencies to the sites most in need and to enhance the stability of school operations.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry said that administrative reform measures in the educational field are proceeding along two parallel and integrated tracks. The first track involves redistributing male and female teachers among schools according to the actual need for educational specialties. The second track entails reorganizing and assigning educational supervisory positions in accordance with the new organizational structure of school administrations and the approved job titles, based on a comprehensive review of workforce data and its current distribution in schools.

The Ministry clarified that the current phase of the first track includes redistributing male and female teachers among schools according to the actual need of each school across various educational specialties, in proportion to the number of classrooms, students, and capacity, with the goal of achieving balance in the number of teaching staff and making optimal use of available personnel, paving the way for the second phase of the surplus management plan.

It noted that the second track involves reorganizing and assigning educational supervisory positions according to the new organizational structure of schools. A data review revealed the existence of more than one department head for the same academic specialty, as well as the appointment of up to four assistant principals for educational affairs in some schools, while other schools have a genuine need for such personnel. This necessitates redistribution to achieve balance among schools.

The Ministry pointed out that the new organizational structure for schools includes assistant principals for educational and student affairs, drawn from teaching staff who have progressed within the teaching cadre, as well as an assistant principal for administrative affairs, drawn from administrative staff who have progressed within the administrative track. Vacancies will subsequently be announced to facilitate their assignment to school administrations in accordance with approved procedures and regulations.

It emphasized that the interest of students represents the primary objective of the workforce reorganization measures. The distribution of personnel is directly linked to the needs of students, classrooms, and specialties, ensuring that each school has an appropriate number of teachers and supervisory leaders. This contributes to enhancing the stability of the school environment and improving the efficiency and quality of the educational process, within a comprehensive vision for developing institutional performance and achieving optimal utilization of human resources in the educational field.
