Tunis, September 29 (KUNA) -- The Arab Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ALECSO) announced on Tuesday the launch of the Arabic-translated edition of the Global Education Monitoring Report, in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with the aim of supporting the exchange of knowledge and expertise and contributing to strengthening scientific and cultural content in Arabic.

In a statement, the organization noted that this edition comes within the framework of enhancing international cooperation and broadening the scope of partnership with international institutions and organizations, and in implementation of the agreement concluded between ALECSO and UNESCO.

It clarified that the Arabic version of the report included the translation of several publications from the Global Education Monitoring Report initiative into Arabic, through collaboration between ALECSO’s Department of Science and Scientific Research and the Arab Center for Arabization, Translation and Authoring and Publishing in Damascus.

The organization added that the translated editions include the Global Education Monitoring Report 2024, titled “Leadership in Education: Good Governance for Learning,” and the Global Education Monitoring Report 2023, titled “Technology in Education: A Tool in Whose Hands?”

This initiative aligns with ALECSO’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and support the directions of the Arab Strategy for Scientific Research, Technology and Innovation, as well as to enrich global scientific and knowledge content with specialized reports and studies in Arabic.

The organization emphasized that the initiative contributes to consolidating the presence of the Arabic language in the fields of science, education, and innovation, thereby enabling institutions, researchers, and policymakers in Arab countries to benefit from authoritative international publications in Arabic.
