Bern, September 29 (KUNA) — His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, has sent a message of gratitude to His Excellency Guy Parmelin, President of the Swiss Confederation. The text of the message reads:

“Warm greetings,

It gives me great pleasure, at the conclusion of my official visit to your friendly country and my participation in the official ceremony held to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Kuwait and the Swiss Confederation, to express, on behalf of myself and the members of the accompanying delegation, our sincere thanks and profound appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality we experienced throughout the visit.

I would like to highly commend the considerable efforts made by you and your esteemed government in organizing this distinguished celebration, which embodied the depth of our bilateral relations, characterized over many decades by fruitful cooperation, mutual understanding, and growing positive momentum. These ties were further strengthened by your kind visit to the State of Kuwait last February, which received great attention and patronage from His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (may God protect and guard him).

We reaffirm our firm commitment to elevating our historic relations to broader and more comprehensive horizons, and we look forward to continuing our work with you in ways that serve our common interests and keep pace with the aspirations of our peoples toward a bright and promising future. I pray for the Swiss Confederation continued progress and prosperity, and I extend to you my sincerest wishes for good health and complete well-being.”

(End) M.A.A.
