Bern, September 29 (KUNA) -- In the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and His Excellency President Guy Parmelin, President of the Swiss Confederation, a ceremony was held this morning at the Bellevue Palace in Bern, the Swiss capital, to sign a memorandum of understanding on “promoting direct investment” between the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and the Swiss Global Enterprise (SGE). The signing comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and expanding the horizons of joint cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Swiss Confederation.
The memorandum was signed on the Kuwaiti side by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of KDIPA, and on the Swiss side by Ms. Magali Hero, Chief Executive Officer for Investment Promotion and a member of the Executive Board of SGE, in the presence of senior officials from both sides.
This memorandum embodies the commitment of the State of Kuwait and the Swiss Confederation to develop the frameworks of economic and investment cooperation and to enhance partnership in areas of mutual interest, thereby contributing to supporting direct investment opportunities, achieving mutual benefits, and consolidating the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries.
