Brussels, September 29 (KUNA) -- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte affirmed on Tuesday that Russian moves in Europe will not succeed in undermining the alliance’s unity or deterring it from continuing its support for Ukraine, stressing that NATO will increase its support for Kyiv rather than reduce it.

Speaking to journalists in Brussels, Rutte said, “Russia continues its reckless campaign of hostility against NATO allies, attempting to weaken our resolve and halt our support for Ukraine, but it is failing in that endeavor.” He added, “Our message to Moscow is clear: we will provide more support to Ukraine.”

Rutte called on NATO member states to remain calm and continue supporting Ukraine, noting that Russian activities may have repercussions at times, but emphasizing the need to prevent them from affecting the alliance’s unity and its commitment to Kyiv. (End) A.R.N. / N.S.A.
