Kuwait City, September 29 (KUNA) – The Kuwait Municipality confirmed today, Tuesday, that it will continue its field inspections as part of the “Build, Do Not Destroy” campaign, which aims to ensure compliance with safety regulations to safeguard the safety and security of workers and residents in housing cities.

Mohammed Al-Muwaisiri, head of the safety inspection team at the Al-Farwaniyah Governorate branch of the municipality, said in a press statement that the inspections in the governorate resulted in issuing eight warnings for violations related to non-compliance with construction regulations and controls.

Al-Muwaisiri added that the campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of adhering to regulations and controls governing construction, demolition, and restoration works. This is achieved by educating property owners and contractors on the necessity of transporting rubble and construction waste to designated sites, rather than leaving them in courtyards, roads, or public areas.

He stressed the need for proper handling of construction rubble and waste, warning that neglecting such materials by contractors or property owners could endanger the lives of workers and residents in the affected areas.

He noted that the “Build, Do Not Destroy” campaign is part of the Kuwait Municipality’s efforts to strengthen oversight, curb violations, and consolidate a culture of preserving the environment and public property.

Al-Muwaisiri called on plot owners and those constructing homes to follow the official accounts of the Kuwait Municipality to benefit from awareness messages and guidelines that will be published regularly, and to contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating their procedures and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
