Bahrain condemns attack on security checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan

Manama, September 28 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and rejection today, Monday, of the “terrorist” attack that targeted a security checkpoint in the Dera Ismail Khan area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, which resulted in the death and injury of several people. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, affirmed Bahrain’s solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in its efforts to preserve security and stability and to combat terrorism and extremism. It also conveyed its sincere condolences and sympathies to the Pakistani government and people, as well as to the families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery. (End) K.N.A. / R.J.
