Beirut, September 28 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation army carried out violent bombing operations in southern Lebanon on Monday evening. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that occupation forces carried out a major explosion in the town of Zoutar al-Sharqiya, “creating a tremendous echo throughout the Nabatieh area,” as well as a violent blast in the town of Aitroun in the Bint Jbeil district. The agency noted that a Merkava tank fired two shells toward the town of Kafr Kanna, coinciding with the movement of Israeli occupation military vehicles in the vicinity of Arnaun. Movements of Israeli occupation army vehicles were also recorded in the town of Baraish, concurrent with artillery shelling targeting the outskirts of the town. The National News Agency added that the area between the towns of Nabatieh al-Fouqa and Mifdoun was subjected to intermittent artillery fire. It is worth noting that Israeli occupation forces, stationed in dozens of southern villages and towns, continue to carry out systematic destruction of property at a near-daily pace, alongside ongoing raids and artillery bombardments.
