Malaysian Defense Minister Confirms Continuation of Joint Coordination with Saudi Arabia

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 28 (KUNA) -- Malaysian Defense Minister Mohd Khalid Nordin affirmed on Monday that his country will continue joint coordination with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to explore defense areas in which it can contribute. This came in a statement following a phone call with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, which covered current developments and issues of mutual interest. According to the statement, the call underscored the commitment to continue close cooperation between the two countries, particularly in light of current challenges. The statement quoted the Malaysian Defense Minister emphasizing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an “important partner” for Malaysia in the Arab and Islamic worlds, as well as in its capacity as the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
