Beirut, September 27 (KUNA) -- Several towns and villages in southern Lebanon were subjected to Israeli air raids and artillery shelling by the Israeli occupation army on Sunday. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the occupation’s warplanes launched three strikes targeting several homes in the Al-Arish area, located between the towns of Haris and Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district. The agency noted that two helicopters carried out two strikes on the town of Qabraiya in the Marjayoun district. The helicopters, in two waves, targeted a commercial building on the main road connecting the towns of Meftoun and Chouqin, causing damage to shops and residential apartments in the targeted building. According to the agency, the occupation army’s raids also hit the towns of Ma’as al-Jabal and Al-Khayyam, while the occupation army’s artillery shelled the outskirts of the towns of Zoutar al-Sharqiya and Meftoun, as well as the outskirts of Haddatha and Haris. The National News Agency added that Israeli occupation forces demolished several homes in the town of Al-Mansouri, south of Sidon, and carried out large-scale explosions in Braichit and Beit Yahoun in the Bint Jbeil district. It is worth noting that Israeli occupation forces, stationed in dozens of southern villages and towns, continue to carry out systematic demolitions of properties and land leveling on a near-daily basis, alongside ongoing air raids and artillery shelling.
