Kuwait City, September 27 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and denunciation of the continued escalation by Israeli occupation forces in the occupied West Bank, and of the incursion by crowds of settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of those forces, in a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law. In a statement issued today, Sunday, the ministry reiterated Kuwait’s call on the international community and the Security Council to assume their legal and moral responsibilities and to take the necessary measures to halt these serious and repeated violations and to provide protection for the fraternal Palestinian people. It also reaffirmed Kuwait’s firm and steadfast position supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, foremost among which is the establishment of their independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
