GCC Secretary-General strongly condemns Houthi missile and drone attacks on Riyadh and Khamis Mushait

Riyadh, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi expressed his strong condemnation today on Saturday of the Houthi attacks using ballistic missiles and drones that targeted the cities of Riyadh and Khamis Mushait in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a press statement, Al-Budaiwi said that this dangerous escalation constitutes a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a direct threat to the security and safety of civilians and regional stability. He affirmed that GCC member states stand united in their full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Al-Budaiwi called on the international community to take a firm stance to put an end to these repeated terrorist Houthi attacks and to hold their perpetrators accountable for their actions.
