Palestinians martyred and others injured in Israeli occupation shelling and gunfire in Gaza Strip

Gaza, September 25 (KUNA) -- The health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced on Friday that Palestinians were martyred and others were injured as a result of Israeli occupation forces’ aerial bombardment and gunfire in various areas of the Gaza Strip. In a press statement, the authorities said that one Palestinian was martyred and others were injured in an Israeli occupation drone strike near the Al-Sawahra cemetery in the town of Al-Zawaida in the central part of the Strip. Meanwhile, rescue teams recovered the remains of another Palestinian martyr after he was targeted by a missile fired from an Israeli occupation drone in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip. The authorities added that an elderly Palestinian woman and a young girl were shot by occupation forces in Khan Younis. Intense gunfire from armored vehicles was reported in various areas in the central and northern parts of the Strip, coinciding with the flight and firing of helicopter and drone aircraft east and west of Gaza City. Bombardment and shooting operations continued in several areas of the Strip, amid escalating risks for Palestinians and displaced persons in all targeted areas across the Gaza Strip.
