Kuwait's Al-Burqan loses to Germany's Füchse Berlin at the IHF Men's Club World Championship in Egypt

Cairo, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait’s Al-Burqan club lost to Germany’s Füchse Berlin 38-18 in their opening match of the 19th edition of the IHF Men’s Club World Championship, which is being hosted in Egypt until October 1. The first half, played at the arena in the new capital, ended 20-11 in favor of Füchse Berlin, who maintained their dominance to win the second half and the match. The Club World Championship features 10 teams representing the six continents, along with the defending champions and hosts, Egypt, and two wildcard entries: Spain’s Barcelona, Germany’s Füchse Berlin, Hungary’s Veszprém, Egypt’s Al-Ahly and Zamalek, Morocco’s Mouloudia Oujda, Brazil’s EC Pinheiros, the United States’ Los Angeles, Australia’s Sydney University, and Kuwait’s Al-Burqan.
