Kuwait FA President: The Blue Team will fight against Iraq to secure a win and restore confidence in the technical staff

Jeddah, 24 Sep (KUNA) – Kuwait Football Association President Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousuf affirmed on Thursday the Kuwaiti national team’s determination to secure a victory against their Iraqi counterparts in their upcoming match within the framework of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27), reiterating his confidence in the team’s coach, Helio Souza, as well as the technical and administrative staff.

In a media statement during the team’s training session, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousuf stated that “The Blues” would fight to achieve a win, noting that three chartered flights from Kuwait would arrive to transport fans to support and cheer for the national team in their match against Iraq.

The Kuwaiti national team resumed its training sessions today in preparation for the encounter with Iraq as part of the tournament.

It is worth noting that Kuwait lost its first match against Saudi Arabia with a score of 1-0, while Iraq drew 1-1 with Oman.
