Foreign Minister attends ministerial session in New York on health and humanitarian aid access in Gaza

New York, 24 Sep (KUNA) -- Foreign Minister Sheikh Jeraf Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah participated on Thursday in a ministerial session on health and humanitarian access in Gaza, co-organized by the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the United Kingdom, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the session discussed the major health and humanitarian challenges facing the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safe, sustainable, and unobstructed flow of humanitarian and medical aid to support the continuity of health services.

It added that participants stressed the need to protect civilians and health and humanitarian personnel, and to enhance international efforts and coordination to address the urgent humanitarian needs in the Strip. (End)
