GCC Secretary-General condemns Houthi militia's ballistic missile launches toward Taif and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Sept. 24 (KUNA) -- The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, condemned in the strongest terms on Thursday the launch of ballistic missiles by the Houthi militia toward the Saudi cities of Taif and Yanbu.

In a statement, AlBudaiwi said that the Houthi militia’s continued targeting of Saudi territory and the lives of civilians with ballistic missiles reflects its determination to pursue its dangerous escalationist approach in the Kingdom.

He affirmed the GCC member states’ unified stance in solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their full support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and stability, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
