Jeddah, 23 Sep (KUNA) -- The opening ceremony of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament (Khaleeji 27) on Wednesday featured a variety of artistic and musical performances that reflected the Gulf character of the tournament and its place in the collective memory of the region's peoples.

The ceremony included musical segments during which the eight participating national teams were introduced, alongside a display of the flags of the participating countries in a scene embodying the bonds uniting the peoples of the region under the umbrella of the Gulf tournament.
