Libya's Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity emphasizes the need to push forward with organizing elections

Tunis, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah affirmed on Wednesday the necessity of advancing towards organizing elections, describing them as "the path that aligns with the government's vision, ends the transitional phase, and leads to stability." He emphasized the importance of creating the necessary political and institutional conditions to achieve this.

The Prime Minister's Office stated in a statement that this was conveyed during a meeting between Dbeibah and Hanna Tetteh, the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative in Libya. The meeting focused on the latest developments in the political process and efforts to advance the political track, with the attendance of Minister of State for Communications and Political Affairs, Walid al-Lafi.

The statement clarified that both sides discussed ways to support national consensus and strengthen efforts aimed at unifying state institutions, contributing to ending the transitional phase, holding elections, and reaching a stage of lasting stability, based on the outcomes of the 4+4 agreement.
