King of Bahrain Affirms Deep Relations with Kuwait and Mutual Commitment to Strengthening Them

Manama, September 23 (KUNA) – Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed on Wednesday the Kingdom’s pride in the strong fraternal ties and close historical relations that bind Bahrain to its sister state, Kuwait, noting that these bonds are growing stronger and more distinctive due to the mutual commitment to enhancing and developing cooperation across all fields.

Bahrain’s official news agency (BNA) reported that the King made these remarks during a meeting with Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousuf Al-Saud, who paid a courtesy visit to congratulate the King on his recent visit to the Kingdom. Sheikh Fahad conveyed greetings and appreciation from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and extended his best wishes for continued development and prosperity for the Kingdom and its noble people under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King of Bahrain.

During the meeting, the King of Bahrain welcomed the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf, and conveyed his greetings and sincere wishes to his brother, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, wishing him good health and happiness, and expressing hopes for continued progress and prosperity for the fraternal Kuwaiti people.

The King praised the pioneering role played by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait in supporting and developing the distinctive Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, as well as Kuwait’s honorable stance toward its sister Kingdom of Bahrain and its constructive efforts to strengthen joint Gulf cooperation. He highlighted the high level of fruitful cooperation and joint coordination achieved between Bahrain and Kuwait across all levels, particularly in the security sector, which serves the mutual interests of the two fraternal countries and reinforces their enduring brotherly ties. He emphasized the importance of continuous consultation and coordination between the two brotherly nations, especially in light of the delicate circumstances currently facing the region.

For his part, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the King of Bahrain for the warm reception and generous hospitality, and conveyed his profound pride in the King’s efforts and unwavering commitment to strengthening the distinctive historical ties and consolidating fraternal cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait.
