Representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Receives the Egyptian Prime Minister on the Margins of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly

New York, September 23 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, received, on Tuesday evening, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the representative of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the Country, may God protect and guard him. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the UN General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and extended his best wishes for robust health and well-being to His Excellency, as well as continued progress and prosperity for the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt and its people.

The meeting reviewed the deep-rooted historical fraternal relations between the State of Kuwait and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, characterized by close cooperation and continuous coordination. The parties discussed ways to support, enhance, and elevate these ties to broader horizons across various fields, in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries and their fraternal peoples.

The two sides exchanged views on the key issues and topics on the agenda of the UN General Assembly, alongside discussing the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, and reaffirming the importance of continuing coordination and consultation regarding them.
