Deputy Emir and Prime Minister of Kuwait Meets Iraqi Council of Ministers Chairman in New York

New York, September 22 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, met today with His Excellency Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Iraq, and the accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting was held at the United Nations headquarters.

The two sides discussed the relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq, as well as ways to strengthen them across various fields in the interest of the shared interests of the two countries and their fraternal peoples. They also exchanged views on recent developments and issues of common concern at the regional and international levels.

Attending the meeting were His Excellency Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; His Excellency Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; and His Excellency Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
