Iraqi Prime Minister and Jordanian King Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments

Baghdad - 22 - 9 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi met on Tuesday with Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.

The Iraqi Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement that the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, reviewed relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, particularly in the energy, economic, and investment sectors.

It noted that both sides also discussed regional developments, emphasizing the importance of working to support peaceful efforts to prevent the dangers of war and conflicts and their negative impacts at both the regional and international levels. (End)
