Deputy Emir and Prime Minister of Kuwait Meets Canadian Prime Minister During the Opening Session of the UN General Assembly

New York, September 22 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, met today with the Honourable Mr. Mark Carney, Prime Minister of friendly Canada, during the opening session of the High-Level Week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed the close ties between the State of Kuwait and Canada and explored ways to enhance and develop them across various fields. The two sides also agreed to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue between the two friendly countries, co-chaired by their foreign ministers, which would serve as an institutionalized and regular framework for consultation and coordination, helping to elevate bilateral relations to broader horizons in the interest of the shared interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
