Jeddah, September 22 (KUNA) -- His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, today Tuesday condemned the attempt by the Houthi terrorist militias to repeat their targeting of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, an act that drew international condemnation and denunciation for representing a grave violation of the sanctity of holy sites and for provoking the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that this stance came following a cabinet meeting chaired by King Salman in Jeddah.

At the beginning of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques offered praise and gratitude to Almighty God, who has bestowed great blessings upon the Kingdom and honored it with the service of His Sacred House, the Prophet’s Mosque (peace be upon him), and the pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors who come to them.

He expressed his hope that, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day tomorrow, Wednesday, the nation will achieve further accomplishments and successes in its journey of development, progress, and leadership across all fields.

The Saudi King also expressed his appreciation for the role of the military and security sectors and their brave heroes in defending the homeland and firmly repelling any aggression against the holy sites, the guests of Allah, and citizens and residents on Saudi soil.

For his part, the Saudi cabinet, following its monitoring of developments in the region, emphasized the necessity of adhering to the principles of international law, which stipulate respect for sovereignty, the resolution of disputes through peaceful means, and ensuring the safety of navigation in international waterways. These measures safeguard the security of states, fulfill the aspirations of their peoples, and contribute to protecting international trade and supply chains.

The cabinet stated in its communiqué that the launch of the first models by the national automotive company “SAC” represents a new strategic step in building an advanced and sustainable industrial ecosystem, empowering it as a vital driver of economic growth, attracting investments, and supporting national capabilities. This highlights the role of the private sector in development, aligning with the objectives of “Saudi Vision 2030” and enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional and global hub in this field.
