Envoy of His Highness the Amir meets World Bank Group President and CEO on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st UN General Assembly

New York, September 21 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and safeguard him, received today Mr. Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, and Mr. Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Managing Director of the World Bank Group, at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the UN General Assembly.

During the meeting, the latest developments regarding the training and development of national cadres and the utilization of the World Bank’s expertise in providing technical support to serve the objectives of Kuwait’s Vision were reviewed. The parties also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in developmental and advisory fields, exchanged views on regional and international economic and developmental issues, and reviewed efforts to finance sustainable development.
