Kuwaiti Ambassador to Indonesia: We welcome the recruitment of qualified Indonesian workers in line with labor market needs

Kuala Lumpur, 21 Sep (KUNA) -- Khalid Al-Yaseen, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, confirmed on Monday that Kuwait welcomes the recruitment of more qualified and trained Indonesian workers in line with the needs of the Kuwaiti labor market.

The statement was made by Ambassador Al-Yasein to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following his meeting with Indonesian Minister for the Protection of Migrant Workers, M. Khairul, to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries in the field of labor and ways to support and develop it.

He said that Kuwait relies on a set of legislation that guarantees workers' rights and regulates the work environment, calling for discussions on mechanisms to regulate the recruitment of Indonesian workers to ensure the rights of all parties.

For his part, the Indonesian Minister stated in a press release that Kuwaiti-Indonesian relations are characterized by depth and friendliness, expressing his country's readiness to cooperate with Kuwait in providing professional cadres and skilled, trained labor force, whether in the public or private sector.

He affirmed the Indonesian government's commitment to ensuring and protecting the rights of its citizens and Indonesian workers abroad.
