France condemns Iranian security forces' raid on the French Language Center in Tehran

Paris, Sept 21 (KUNA) -- France strongly condemned on Monday the breach of the French Language Center in Tehran by Iranian security forces and the Iranian authorities' decision to close it. The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement that "this new attack, which followed the assault on two French embassy staff members last July, is unjustified and unacceptable." The statement added that "the Iranian ambassador to Paris will be summoned to the ministry's headquarters and appropriate measures will be taken in response." It is recalled that Iranian authorities closed the French Language Center in Tehran on Sunday, accusing the center of "engaging in illegal activities," without providing further details.
