Foreign Minister attends 21st ministerial working dinner on the Middle East in New York

New York, 21 Sep (KUNA) -- Foreign Minister Sheikh Jeraf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah participated in the 21st Ministerial Working Dinner on the Middle East, held at the International Peace Institute headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The working dinner was held last Sunday by joint invitation from Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar; Prince Zeid bin Raad Al Hussein, President of the International Peace Institute; and Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.

During the dinner, participants discussed the overall issues and challenges facing the Middle East region and exchanged views on regional developments and related international moves. They also addressed ways to support diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation, enhancing security and stability, and achieving peace in the region.
