GCC Secretary-General condemns the incursion of an Israeli occupation government minister and extremist settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque

Riyadh, 20 September (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Bedaiwi expressed his strong condemnation and outrage on Sunday over the incursion by an Israeli occupation government minister and a number of extremist settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

In a press statement, Al-Bedaiwi said that these incursions represent a continuation of provocative practices aimed at inflaming tensions and undermining efforts to achieve security, peace, and stability in the region.

He stressed the necessity for the international community to assume its responsibilities and adopt a firm stance against these repeated violations, reiterating the GCC’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause and its support for the right of the fraternal Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
