Kuwait condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli occupation government minister and a number of extremist settlers

Kuwait - 20 - 9 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait's condemnation and denunciation of the incursion into the Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli occupation government minister and a number of extremist settlers, carried out under the protection of occupation forces, in a grave violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait's categorical rejection of all provocative practices that undermine the existing legal and historical status of Jerusalem and its holy sites, renewing its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities to put an end to these violations.

The Ministry also reiterated Kuwait's steadfast position in support of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost among which is the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. (End)
