Ramallah, September 20 (KUNA) -- Israeli occupation forces stormed the “H Clinic” hospital in the Al-Irsal neighborhood of Ramallah on Sunday to arrest a wounded man accused of carrying out a shooting incident. Eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that a large contingent of occupation forces, backed by a military helicopter, stormed the city and surrounded the hospital before breaching it, amid the firing of tear gas canisters in the surrounding area. For his part, an Israeli military spokesperson claimed in a statement that forces from the special “Duvdevan” unit arrested the shooter, who had carried out the attack earlier that day near Ramallah, close to the Homesh settlement, resulting in the death of an Israeli soldier. He added that the perpetrator had been injured and managed to flee to a nearby hospital, referring to the “H Clinic,” where he was subsequently arrested. Israeli media quoted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as saying he had ordered the military to reinforce forces in the West Bank, impose closures, and carry out offensive operations and arrests.
