Qatar Strongly Condemns Houthi Militia Attacks on Riyadh

Doha, 20 September (KUNA) -- The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Sunday, strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attempt to target the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with a ballistic missile, as well as its attempts to strike civilians and civilian objects in the cities of Bish, Taif, Firasan, and Yanbu. In a statement, the ministry said that these attacks constitute a reprehensible aggressive behavior, an unacceptable disregard for civilian lives, a blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty, and a clear breach of international law. It emphasized its unequivocal rejection of attacks on civilian objects and civilians, reiterating the urgent need to immediately halt these irresponsible acts. The ministry reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its steadfast support for the Kingdom in all lawful measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Qatar’s security and of the collective security framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
