Beirut, September 20 (KUNA) — Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks on southern Lebanon on Sunday through explosions and artillery shelling that targeted several towns. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli occupation force comprising three tanks advanced in the morning toward the town of Deir Mimas, blocked the town’s entrance, and disrupted residents’ movement in and out for a period. The agency added that Israeli occupation forces searched several homes and smashed telephone poles on both sides of the road before resuming their movements in the area.
In the context of the occupation’s attacks on the south, the agency noted that a child was injured by an explosion of an unexploded ordnance remnant in the town of Dbaa in the Sidon district and was transferred to a local hospital for treatment. It also stated that Israeli occupation forces carried out several explosions in the town of Majdal Zoun, coinciding with a sweep operation in the area. The agency reported that occupation artillery also shelled the outskirts of the town of Hittin, the forest of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as Wadi al-Salouqi and Wadi al-Hajar.
Israeli occupation forces carried out successive explosions since midnight in the town of Mansouri and the outskirts of Beit Yabad. It is worth noting that Israeli occupation forces stationed in dozens of southern villages and towns have been conducting systematic explosions at a near-daily pace, alongside ongoing raids and artillery shelling.
