Russian Defense Ministry: We targeted facilities and logistics centers in Kyiv and Odesa Oblast

Moscow, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that its forces targeted a number of facilities it described as "linked to Ukraine's defense and logistics industries in the capital, Kyiv, and Odesa Oblast."

The ministry stated in a statement that the strikes carried out overnight "hit the Radioniks factory in Kyiv, as well as a data center used for storing and processing intelligence information."

The statement added that Russian forces also targeted "a dry cargo ship at the port of Odesa, along with a logistics center used for storing and distributing military equipment."

It noted that "Russian forces also targeted a warehouse belonging to the company Fire Point in Kyiv, which contained components and launch boosters used in long-range drones."

In related news, the ministry said its air defense systems "intercepted and destroyed 1,110 Ukrainian drones overnight."

Previous Ukrainian reports had indicated that facilities belonging to the company Nova Poshta in Odesa were subjected to Russian drone attacks, while the company announced in August last year that one of its facilities had sustained damage.

Russia and Ukraine have continued exchanging airstrikes and missile attacks, targeting military, logistics, and infrastructure facilities since the war erupted in February 2022, as international efforts continue to reach a settlement to end the war.
