Jahra Governor Affirms Importance of Supporting Initiatives Aimed at Environmental Conservation

Kuwait - 19 - 9 (KUNA) -- Al-Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habshi emphasized on Saturday the importance of supporting community initiatives aimed at preserving the environment, enhancing public cleanliness, and raising environmental awareness among various segments of society.

He made these remarks while sponsoring and attending a field campaign to clean Al-Jahra National Park, organized by the governorate in cooperation with the "Kafu" platform, coinciding with World Cleanup Day and involving numerous volunteers and representatives from the diplomatic corps.

The Governor stressed the importance of instilling civilized behavior, community responsibility values, and a culture of environmental stewardship among the younger generation, praising the volunteer and diplomatic participation in the campaign.

He also highlighted the importance of encouraging student initiatives in coordination with the Ministry of Education to strengthen values of belonging and responsibility, calling on all segments of society to continue participating in national and volunteer initiatives that contribute to preserving Kuwait's environment and reflecting its civilized image.
