Yemen condemns Houthi militia’s drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s Taif province

Aden, September 18 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni government strongly condemned on Friday the Houthi militia’s targeting of Saudi Arabia’s Taif province with a drone, which resulted in the death of a Yemeni national, injuries to two civilians, and material damage. In a statement, the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack constituted a blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability. The statement added that this attack, along with previous strikes on Saudi cities, vital facilities, and attempts to target Mecca, reflects the dangerous aggressive posture of the Houthi militias, whose actions extend beyond Yemen’s borders to threaten neighboring countries, holy sites, and international navigation, with continuous support from the Iranian regime. It reaffirmed Yemen’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the legitimate measures undertaken by the Kingdom to deter attacks, safeguard its sovereignty, and protect the security and safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
